The Master's in Mental Health and Psychological Therapies at the University of Deusto (120 ECTS, 2 academic years), is designed for Psychology Graduates interested in acquiring the competences necessary for professional practice in the field of clinical psychology, comprehensive health care and psychotherapy. It is based on four main factors:
- A long-standing experience in the field of clinical psychology, mental health and psychotherapy in partnership with several institutions for over twenty years.
- The reform of the European Higher Education Area, with a strong focus on competence-based learning.
- The advances in the regulation of education and professional practice, as shown in the Europsy project and the experimental accreditation model leading to the Certificate of Specialist Expertise in Psychotherapy awarded by the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA).
- The scientific advances in multidisciplinary disciplines, focused on the health and well-being of individuals, groups and associations in response to the demands of today's society.
This MA is taught in partnership with institutions that have a long tradition in training and research in the field of Mental Health and Psychotherapy. In addition, teaching and practical training are supervised by a team of renowned professionals and both public and private institutions.
This Master's has been designed in accordance with the guidelines set out by the European Reform, as shown in the agreements at the Deans' Conference of the Faculties of Psychology in Spain for this type of degrees. In addition, it complies with the criteria set down in the training model for psychologists approved by the EFPA.
